Across the approved 3-day course, IOSH Managing Safely delivers the knowledge needed for those in positions of responsibility to identify, evaluate and control workplace risks. This includes assessing the effectiveness and performance of the health and safety systems already in place across your organisation.

Implement a plan to consult and involve the workforce in safety decisions.

Your Post-Course Challenge

  • Within 30 days, conduct a formal risk assessment for one area of your workplace using the 5 steps.
  • Hold a team meeting to discuss one ‘near miss’ and focus on system improvements rather than blame.
  • Review your current safety performance data and identify one area for active monitoring improvement.
