Normalisation of remote or hybrid working. A practical and fair approach.
Employment Relations (Flexible Working) Act 2023 which comes into force 6 April 2024.

Understanding and protecting yourself from unconscious bias (UB)

A practical application of three theories. 1) Blanchard and Hersey’s Situational Leadership. 2) Balancing your approach using John Adair’s Action-Centred Leadership. 3) Recognising inhabitants of the ‘Energy-Attitude’ matrix and what to do about it.
Motivating your team. A practical approach using Dean Spitzer’s ‘Supermotivation.’
Using ‘Supermotivation’ for effective delegation.

Performance management and appraisals

Understanding the process and recognising the pitfalls.
Demonstrating enthusiasm and assertiveness towards achieving day-to-day activities.
The key skills of setting, monitoring and appraising performance of individuals in a fair and equitable manner.
Ensuring that remote and hybrid workers are not forgotten and receive the same levels of professional attention.
Managing conflict and having difficult conversations using an evidence-based approach.

Coaching for improved performance

Understanding the coaching continuum and the power of ‘non-directive’ coaching (NDC).
