The purpose of a training event is learning new skills and/or changing behaviour. To evaluate how successfully attendees are doing this, they can attend a Workplace Implementation Day during the skills transfer period. During the Workplace Implementation Day, individuals have a chance to get together as a group and discuss the challenges they have faced during their skills transfer period. This will include what has worked well for individuals and also what still needs to be improved. This is an excellent way to encourage the learning, support the skills transfer into the workplace and act as a measure to evaluate the training. Workplace Implementation Days are usually 2-3 hour sessions, therefore allowing two sessions per day to maximise the cost effectiveness of this additional optional support.
